A Place in Ministry    PLACE – If all of us as believers are called to ministry (we are) and we are all to be serving somewhere (we are), how do we know where our PLACE in ministry is? PLACE is a process that utilizes personality discovery, spiritual gifts analysis, ability awareness, passion, and life experiences, to help believers understand where they are best suited to serve. The next session of PLACE will begin on Sunday evening, September 9, at 5:00 pm in Room B-107. Books and assessments are available for $10.00 each and will be vital in leading you through this process. Please see Mike Wood to register or to have your questions addressed.

Operation Christmas Child   Oct. 7 - Nov. 4

Operation Christmas Child    Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Matthew 19:14 NIV).
A simple gift, an eternal message. Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations worldwide through simple, gift-filled shoe boxes and evangelistic materials that tell the good news of god’s love. Here are some ways you can make a difference:
PRAY. Pray that God will touch the heart of every child who receives a shoe box and that He will bring many children and families to faith in Christ.
PACK A GIFT. A shoe box filled with small toys and other gifts can open hurting hearts to God’s love. Please use the provided Samaritan's Shoeboxes available for free at the church. Helpful suggestions are available on-line at Samaritan's Purse.
GIVE. Remember to give $9 or more per box to cover shipping and other project costs.

The Adult 5 Bible Study Department has been involved in the Operation Christmas Child Ministry for many years and invites all of our church family to participate in sharing Christmas with children everywhere.
Take a shoebox available from the church, fill it with small gifts and necessities, and we will ship them off to children all around the world to share in the joy of Christmas.
If you are interested in filling a shoebox for a needy child, there are brochures available to help you prepare your box as well as empty shoe boxes with the instructions included located in the foyer. Please have your boxes on the table in the foyer by Sunday, November 4th at noon to allow us time to get the boxes loaded and delivered to the drop-off site.
